I love-love high school football. I love that it's about communities, small town rivalries, untamed school pride, raw competition and good sportsmanship. It's 100% pure Americana and I love it!
- I love the way the field looks, filled with students and balloons.
- I love the tradition. Our team enters every home game to Amazing Grace (played on bagpipes)
- I love that my children will remember this forever.
- I love 7-year-old girls who cheer as mascots with the cheerleaders.
- I love tailgating, running in to people, and watching kids run wild.
- I love it when the kids are playing for nothing but pride!
- I love parents who cheer loud!
- I love kids playing under the bleachers.
- I love watching the little boys walk around wearing blue jerseys, just bursting with school pride.
- I love seeing good sportsmanship.
- I love tattooed faces!
- I love concession stands (ours serves Chick-fil-a)
- I love it when the crowd goes WILD.
- I LOVE the look on our rival team's face. Look closely... they have been undefeated for YEARS!
- Not tonight! I love close games and I love blowouts!

- Tonight I loved my niece's school pride. She's a bulldog through and through. Refused to wear a Baron tattoo and cheered "Go Bulldogs!"
- I love watching the sun set and the moon rise.
- I love the smell in the air!
- I love staying to the very end.
- I love upsets, I love overtimes.
- Did I also mention I really like to WIN!
It's still a little warm here in South Carolina, but football reminds me... fall leaves and Halloween are right around the corner. I love those too! Go Barons!

I know, there's just something about high school football! We even joined the Athletic Booster Club this year so we can take part in even more of the festivities at our large public school! Last night there was a cook-out pregame for all members and it was so much fun... wish I had remembered my camera!
High school football is the best! When I was growing up in Clinton we always had lots more people at the CHS games on Friday night than there were at the Presbyterian College games on Saturday!
