muddy truck

My two older kids and my sister and me are hooked... line and sinker, on The Hunger Games series.  Thanks to the Kindle Store, we have all been able to simultaneously share the books. There's been some marathon reading taking place in this house. Thanks to a successful wrapping paper fund raiser, the kids had Monday off.  Between work and chores, there were hours you could hear a pin drop. It's required reading for Bennett, he finished the three books in four days. The rest of us slow readers are still on book two.

I came across this really neat Bible Study  based on The Hunger Games. I can't wait to take a closer look.

Any-Whoo. Jeff an avid snobby reader... doesn't read fiction. He likes to read things that make him smarter. Go figure ;) So while we were running for our lives from Tracker Jackers, he was intermittently fussing... about this:

Wet dirt.  Mud.  covering his truck.  It's our yard truck, nothing spectacular. Since our son continues to be mortified by the notion he drives a girl car, he has made this truck his own. Pimping it out like every other 16 year old southern boy; Ducks Unlimited Stickers, noisy things and this one beats all....

Really. You want a CB radio. And you have a cell phone. Wait, there's a CB ap on your cell phone.

This what the truck looks like 90% of the time. How it's getting this dirty driving on paved roads to and from church, not sure. We think, he is looking for mud holes. Maybe it's a 16 year old status thing. The muddier the truck.....

Jeff doesn't mind the truck getting muddy. For one day.
But when the mud sits for days at a time...
the thought of rust is driving the dad nuts.
After the washing the truck...
the driveway had to be pressure washed.
And the 16 year old had a talking to about taking care of things.
