trunk-or-treat



this year halloween fell on a wednesday night. a church night. october 31 is not a day that we (baptists) celebrate as a church. for our family it is a night when we meet at my sister's house, eat chili and go door to door  trick-or-treating.
 this year we spent halloween at church. and boy were we blessed! our church used a wednesday halloween as an excellent out reach opportunity.  we had a dinner, carnival food stations and a trunk-or-treat. everyone worked together and the night was a huge success! and the community? oh, they came! the line stretched a city block!  how cool to use a secular holiday to accomplish a spiritual purpose. 
“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
